Got a message from this number just after 10pm claiming to be Royal Mail. It said something like, “You’ve got a £2 unpaid postage fee, pay it now at ........” and included a link. It warned that if I don’t pay, the parcel would get sent back. I’ve heard quite a bit lately about these fake Royal Mail texts and emails trying to scam people by stealing bank info. Normally, Royal Mail just leaves a card in your letterbox if postage isn’t paid properly - they don’t send texts!

Around 10:25 last night, I got a message from this number claiming to be Royal Mail. It said something like, “You owe £2 in shipping fees, please pay now at...” with a link attached. It warned that if I don’t pay, my parcel would be sent back to the sender. I’ve heard about these scams where fraudsters pretend to be Royal Mail in texts or emails to steal banking info. Normally, Royal Mail just leaves a note through your letterbox if postage is short - they don’t send texts like this!
