Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent pretending to be from the council here. She kept insisting on my views but when I asked why she was calling, she dodged and just kept firing off questions. Wanted to know my age, kept checking if I was older than 50, asked how long I’d been living at my address, and even asked how old my TV was. Near the end she got quite pushy and just cut off without warning. Sounds like it’d really worry older folks if they answered thinking it was their council.

After that, the person started dodging questions until I bluntly said if she didn’t come clean about who she really was and what she wanted, I’d hang up. She just ended the call straight away.
