Got a message from someone saying I’d added a new payee to HSBC. Definitely spam or some kind of phishing trick. I don’t even have an account with HSBC, so this was super strange. Lately, I’ve gotten like three of these texts from different numbers, all pretty much the same thing. Feels like these scams are ramping up recently.
