Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, warning me I’d be arrested if I didn’t reply. Definitely a scam.

This number kept ringing me up three different times, claiming to be from British Gas and wanting me to confirm if I was a customer. I told her she ought to know already if she really worked there. Then she got really rude and just cut the call. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

To be fair, I didn’t really let them get a word in. When I said hello, there was this awkward pause before anyone replied - and that’s usually my cue to just end the call. So I ended it right then, even though I caught a "Hello" as I hung up. Not really sure if they meant well or not, but that silent moment usually says enough for me.
