Got a call from a polite lady, chatted about Loft Insulation and claimed she was with the Energy Saving Centre. Turns out, there was a firm by that name, but it got shut down after a hefty £250,000 fine for ignoring the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) regulations. I said I wasn’t interested and she suddenly ended the call. I've put her number on the block now.

Got a call from a woman who was really polite and said she was calling about energy consumption in my neighbourhood, maybe some kind of survey or study. But as soon as I asked where she got my number from, especially since I'm on the telephone preference list, she just ended the call straight away. Makes me think it was a scam or something dodgy.

Got a call from some scammers and ended up sharing quite a bit of info, fingers crossed they won't use it against me. Apparently, they think I'm a 6ft dwarf (whatever that means?), go by Sir or Lord, and I actually own my place but pay £1000 rent - yeah, bit confusing since I’m homeless too. I work nights at McDonald's and spend my days driving wagons for a big courier firm. Oh, and apparently my fave meal's steak, even though I’m a hardcore veggie. Bit of a mess to keep track of!

Gabby has called me twice before, claiming she's from The Energy Centre and that they're contacting everyone around my postcode. When I asked her which postcode she thought I was in, she just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scam if you ask me. I've told them already to stop ringing me, but they just keep pestering - it's getting really annoying now!

Got a call from someone pretending to be an energy company, saying they were doing surveys. They mentioned they’re ringing up everyone who's not on the Do Not Call list. Seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from an energy supplier with a north-east accent. When I asked how they got my number, they just ended the call. Tried asking why they were ringing from a mobile but they wouldn’t answer. I’ve blocked them now.

On Saturday 9th September 23, I got a call from 07580106986 in the morning but I didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number. Just to check, I tried calling back with 141 but nobody answered, instead it went to voicemail saying ‘BOX FULL’. I ended up blocking and deleting the number. To me, this kinda call seems suspicious and could lead to trouble, probably trying to scam you out of your cash. I really want to warn folks, especially elderly or vulnerable ones, to not answer these calls and NEVER hand out your bank details. Keep hold of your money tight, it’s yours!

These lot just dont stop, do they! Same bunch of scammers ringing us up with identical patter, at least a couple of times every month over the years. They’re nosing about if we own our house, asking for personal info like name and address. No legit website that checks out linked to them, and they always dodge straight answers. I reckon it’s a data collection scam, maybe for dodgy purposes or some new world overlords; mostly through Twilio Ireland and similar telecom firms using voice ID. The last number I caught them on was: 0161 5242503.

Some dodgy guy said he was calling from the local energy company but never gave a proper name and his phone number looked weird. Felt off straight away, so I just ended the call. Why would a big company ring you from a mobile anyway? My guess is it's a scam. Best to just block and ignore.

Somebody rang me pretending to be an energy advisor from around here. They asked loads about my loft insulation, like if it was put in through an old energy scheme, whether the loft was just storage or converted into a room, and what kind of insulation I had. When I said I wasn’t sure about the details, they just ended the call straightaway!
