Got a call from someone pretending to be Lloyds, saying a new device was added to my account. They wanted me to log into a certain website to check it out, but I knew straight away it was a scam. Definitely not legit.

SCAM ALERT!!! Received a text claiming: "LloydsBank: A new device has been 'registered' (nice spelling!) through the mobile app in 'Manchester' on 16/11. If you didn't do this, please visit https//deregister-device-info[###]." First off, my English isn’t perfect but that message was just awful. Also, I don’t even hold an account with Lloyds! It came from an unknown number and the website link looked really dodgy. I reckon loads of folks might panic and click it, putting their info in, and end up getting scammed. Be careful!
