Received a call from someone pretending to be from BT Openreach. It was a classic scam from an Indian call centre saying my internet had been compromised. They claimed they noticed suspicious activity over the past few days and needed access to my computer to sort it out. I asked how BT would know my data usage since I’m not even a BT customer, and they just repeated the usual line about BT being the top provider in the UK. Once I mentioned that I work in IT, the call was immediately ended! Typical scam behaviour.
