It took me ages, about an hour and a half, because they kept dropping the call before I could get the cancellation done. They finally cancelled it though. Its one of those dodgy call centre scams from Pakistan. They ring you from all kinds of numbers, block one and bam, a different one rings the very next day. They claim you owe a massive amount and threaten to send you to jail if you dont pay immediately. Theyre proper nasty, but if you mess with them they get all confused and annoyed. Weirdly, they knew my name but I dont owe anything. Honestly, its just relentless harassment now, and really scary for folk who might believe them and end up handing over cash.

This number rang me twice in quick succession. The first time, the bloke said he was from some ‘debt investigations’ team, so I told him straight away to take me off his list. He got snappy, asking “Remove you from what list?” I repeated myself and then he started cussing at me, calling me a tramp and telling me to get a job - mind you, I’m already working. A couple of minutes later, the same number called again, this time pretending to be a bailiff threatening me about my finances and claiming it was a recorded call. I told him he must be really insecure, then he hung up on me.
