Got a call from someone claiming to be a home energy specialist, they knew my address and everything, talking about insulation. I just ended the call straight away. I’m sure they were going to say our existing rockwool insulation is somehow not allowed or something. Sounds like a complete con to me.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Dorset Driveways - apparently it's the same lot who rang me before from 07459444481 which I made a note of. Checked the real Dorset Driveways and they only have a landline 01202 listed, plus their website doesn't show any mobiles. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.

They've rung a few times now. The most recent call was about 6.15 this evening. When I got the answerphone, it just cut off and no message was left. I’m pretty sure it was just another scam call, like most of the calls we get these days. It’s baffling how we’ve managed to send people into space and create supercomputers, yet we still can’t seem to catch these scammers, whether they’re local or from overseas.

You could tell straight away it was a call centre from all the noise and people talking in the background. They were so caught up chatting among themselves they didn’t notice I picked up for a bit. When I finally said hello, it seemed to catch them off guard. They replied hello back but I didn’t say anything else and before I knew it, they just ended the call!

The phone buzzed while I was nearby but I didn’t pick up. Just as the voicemail kicked in, the caller hung up straight away. The number was unfamiliar to me, but after seeing what others wrote, it’s pretty clear it’s some kind of scam. We’re signed up to the TPS too, so it really shouldn’t have come through at all. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number and deleted the message now.

She started off quite rude, shouting and demanding to know if I was Mrs X. I told her to please not raise her voice. Then she loudly insisted she wasn’t shouting but just needed to confirm. Didn’t like how she spoke to me, so I said no and ended the call.
