Had a call from 07572970437 saying they were from Halifax, claiming someone was trying to take £240 without permission. Definitely a scam, don’t trust this number.

Got a message saying it was from Halifax about a payment try of £240 to someone called Mr C Jones from an unregistered gadget. It said if I didnt do it, I should update my device and cancel through a link: halifax.registration-device(###]. Totally a scam though, I don’t even have a Halifax account to pay from. The dodgy link and the name gave it away straight away!

Got a call about a supposed Halifax payment attempt and a link to click if I didn’t approve it. I don’t even bank with Halifax. Definitely a scam.

My wife got a message from this number saying there was a problem with her account and to fix it she needed to go to a website that claimed to be her bank. Seemed really dodgy to me.

Just got a text about some "unauthorised payment" from HSBC. Honestly, I’m not daft and I don’t even have an account with HSBC, so it’s clearly a scam. These sorts of things can really trick people who aren’t as careful though. Pretty risky for anyone who’s not paying close attention.
