1 yearI've come across this cheeky scam before, but for anyone else reading, the trick is someone rings pretending to be your son or daughter, saying they've lost their phone and got a new one. Then they send texts asking you to pay some money for them, promising to pay you back once their phone banking is sorted. I decided to humour them, got the bank details they gave me (HSBC) for the transfer, and then passed everything on to their fraud department.HSBC2 yearsJust got a call sayin I owe a parking fee and if I sort it out today i can get a half price deal.
