On 05/03/2021 at about 3:38 pm, I received a text from 07572113785 saying something about HMRC. It said I had a tax refund waiting for me and gave a link to "gov.uk-home.org" to sort it out. Totally a scam, don’t click on it!

You might want to check out 07596 170558. From what I’ve heard, it’s connected to some dodgy stuff like money laundering and Gi###### trafficking, all tied back to this guy Tony Degisi. He says he’s Italian, but honestly, he doesn’t really look it - more like he’s of Asian descent.

Thing is, I wasn’t expecting anything and the message came through at 12.30 in the morning on a Sunday! Seemed odd to me, since why would Royal Mail be texting at such an ungodly hour?

On Saturday 6th March, my Android just shot the number straight to spam and blocked it without me even realising. I’m only waiting on a parcel that I'm pretty sure would be slipped straight through the letterbox anyway, and the post office would definitely leave a note if it needed collecting.

Somebody called claiming to be from Royal Mail saying they tried to deliver a parcel at 8:47 but no one was in. The weird thing is, there was definitely someone home at that time. Got a text claiming they tried to drop off a parcel at 8:12 in the morning on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021, but no-one was home. Said my package got sent back to their depot and I needed to book a new delivery by clicking a link. Whatever you do, don't click it! This is just another sneaky trick to steal your info, really annoying how common this stuff is now 🙄
