Some bloke rang saying he was from the Housing Repairs Association, claiming I had some repair problems at my place. When I asked where he’d got my details from, he just kept repeating himself. I ended the call straight away since I know this scam well - they promise to sort things out with your council, then want cash to get it done. Sometimes it’s just a way to get your info, so later they can call again pretending to be from the council, asking for money upfront before any work happens.
