This number called my elderly mum, and a woman said she was from the Council. She told mum that two men (she named them) would come by the next morning at a certain time to check a manhole on her property, and that mum needed to be there. When mum asked what it was all about, the woman got quite cagey. Next day, two men did show up, but later than they said. Mum didn’t answer the door or the phone when it rang. She did jot down the number that called, but when we rang it back, it just went to an EE voicemail. The whole thing left mum feeling really unsettled.
