Got a really dodgy phone call from a woman, sounded like she had a Chinese accent or something, claiming £300 had been taken from my bank. She asked for my address, date of birth, then even my mum's maiden name! I cut the call straight away. I’ve checked with my bank and everything’s fine. Yesterday I got another sketchy call about some TV word game I supposedly entered - makes me think that whole “competition” was just a trick to fish for phone and bank details. Bit fishy if you ask me!

I’ve had pretty much the same thing happen to me as others here. The phone rings around four or five times each day. Usually, when I pick up, there’s silence, but every now and then I get an automated message from a woman with an Asian accent giving some info. The first time it rang, they just hung up right away. I even tried to call back thinking it might be a customer for my work, but all I got was a message saying the number’s switched off! Now, whenever that number shows up on my caller ID, I just don’t bother answering.
