I had pretty much the same thing, this bloke kept asking for cash, claiming his mum was close to dying, then tried to pass off some fool’s gold. Totally not right.

Following up on what I said earlier, he handed me a business card that had a dodgy email on it, plus the phone number 07570772353. The card showed a German address, and he said he deals with car imports and exports between Germany and Dubai, which was also listed on the card.

This bloke’s a proper con artist, going around asking for cash claiming his mum’s in a bad way. Then he tries to trick you by offering some dodgy gold that’s not real. Stay well clear, it’s all a scam!
