Received a very pushy letter claiming to be from a debt recovery firm handling debts for the Inland Revenue - who, as far as I know, never phone. They mentioned sending letters too. They used information anyone can find on Companies House to make it seem like I owed money, then threatened they'd be at my place in 15 minutes to confront me. I can see how that would scare some folks, but it’s obviously a scam trying to trick you into paying by credit card. I played along and told the police about it. The number they left, 07570 644475, was dead when the police tried calling back.
