The number didn't show up as spam on my phone, but since I didn't recognise it, I didn’t pick up. Later, I checked the voicemail and they claimed to be from Barclays, saying they needed to verify a payment of £1,150 and wanted me to enter a code they gave to approve it online. I don’t have a Barclays account, so I blocked the number straight away. I rang Barclays to double-check and they said they don’t contact customers from mobile numbers and your phone would clearly display 'Barclays' if it was legit. Seems like a dodgy call, definitely best to steer clear.
