At first, the caller didn’t respond, then after a click, they said hello. Looks like it’s one of those systems that connects the line only after you speak. They claimed to be from Openreach, saying there was an issue with my internet router. Thing is, my internet’s been fine all morning, no problems at all. The person kept trying to talk over me. I asked for the name and address they had on file, but they said they didn’t have any, just a service call. I couldn’t believe they thought I’d buy that. I just laughed it off and told them to get lost, scammer. Plus, my phone number isn’t linked to my internet service, so no way this was legit.
