I got a call claiming to be from the NHS, saying I’d been near someone with Omicron and that I needed to order a PCR test kit. Weirdly, just as I got that, my landline rang and hung up straightaway, but it was a different phone number. Since I was a bit wary, I didn’t bother clicking the link they sent. I’m based in Cardiff by the way.

Got a message supposedly from the NHS saying I need to book a PCR test because I’d been near someone with Omicron. But I live in Scotland and that’s not how they do things here, plus those instructions don’t match current guidelines anyway. Definitely felt off.

Completely dodgy. The NHS never calls itself "Health Dept", and they definitely wouldn't send a website ending in .com like that. Total scam alert! Stay away!

The NHS doesn’t send messages from mobile numbers anymore, and PCR tests aren’t even needed now in the UK. Pretty sure it’s one of those scams. I’ve already reported and blocked the number. Caution is advised! I've come across a fraudulent Covid notification. It sent a message claiming that I've been in proximity to someone with the omicron variant and included a link to a sham government site purporting to allow me to schedule a ‘complimentary’ PCR test. They then attempt to charge me 99p, but once you permit that initial fee, they'll drain as much cash from your account as possible! Stay vigilant!
