Got a text from a mobile number saying it was the NHS. As far as I'm aware, the NHS doesn't request test results via text anymore, since they wouldn't have the info to identify positive cases without the actual reports. Didn't bother opening the message at all.

got a text late at night from this number saying i'd been near someone with omicron. they wanted me to pay 99p for postage of a pcr test - seemed pretty legit at first. checked with my bank and no money's been taken. still no pcr test has turned up though! fingers crossed i managed to avoid getting scammed this time.

Got a text saying i'd been near someone with omicron and needed to book a test for just 99p postage. I went ahead without thinking but after a quick look realised it was dodgy and had to cancel my card straight away. It felt pretty real, i wasn’t expecting it and totally got caught out.

Got a text from nhs-uk health dept saying i'd been near someone with omicron and needed to get a pcr test at book-your-test.com. It came through at 2:19am which was a bit dodgy. Checked the phone number and yep, it was a scam just like i'd thought.
