I was asked to give a text to take for the test, but wasn’t quite sure which one they meant. Ended up just picking something random and hope it was ok. Bit confusing, really.

so this morning i got a text saying i'd been near someone with the omicron variant and needed to get a test by visiting your-pcr-test.com. it claimed to be from nhs uk, but that seemed off to me since the nhs never adds 'uk' after their name. also, the message had weird spelling errors where they used a funny capital (not your usual one, but one with horizontal lines on top and bottom) instead of an 'a'. all that made me suspicious it’s a scam. plus, normally the nhs doesn't ring you from a personal mobile number, right?

I received a message from this number, and it seemed a bit strange to me. I didn’t tap on any link though, just thought I’d report it in case it’s a problem.

Got a call today and it was a sneaky virus scam, be careful everyone!

Seems like I've been hit with another con, they say I've been talking to someone but the number they mentioned ain't the one that called me yesterday.
