Never rang them, but over two days I got about 7 messages saying my HSBC account was hacked and I had to log in to sort it out. Thing is, I’ve never had an HSBC account. They just called me “Customer,” and the link they sent for logging in didn’t go to HSBC at all. Instead, it took me to a weird website called "transfer.alerts . com" with a long random set of letters and numbers, like 51 characters or something. Definitely dodgy.
