Just a heads up about Gemma from Gumtree. She claimed she'd sent a bank transfer of £300 for some furniture, but after a whole week, no cash showed up in my account. Ended up having to get the police involved when she came to pick up the stuff. Seriously, don’t let her buy anything from you! Someone named Gemma came by and took my desk and chair I had listed on Gumtree but never paid for them. I managed to get a clear photo of her face and her car’s number plate on my Ring doorbell. I’m definitely going to report this to the police.

Got loads of texts off some "Sienna" on Gumtree, saying she wanted to buy what we had listed. She was always saying how keen she was and trying to arrange a pick-up, but never showed up once. Felt like she just had nothing better to do and was wasting our time!

Got chatting with someone from this number who said they wanted to buy things I’d listed on Gumtree. She was super polite and we messaged back and forth for a bit, seemed genuine at first. But then it became clear it was just a bit of a joke or something pointless?! Honestly no clue what the point was. People can be really pathetic sometimes.
