Got a text supposedly from the NHS from this number, and I ended up getting caught out by the scam. The bank told me later it was definitely a con. They managed to trick me out of nearly £4000, which was horrifying. Luckily, my bank sorted it out and refunded the whole amount no problem. They even pretended to be a call from the bank’s fraud department, which made it all seem genuine.

Beware of this fraudulent operation! They ask you to arrange a Covid-19 test but ridiculously claim you need to cough up 99p for postage. After you provide your personal information-name, address, date of birth, phone number-and then enter your banking details to receive the kit, which, by the way, never shows up, they don't even deduct the 99p from my account! A week later, I received a call supposedly from my bank alerting me that someone was trying to use my card info to buy something using the last four digits. I promptly contacted my bank, only to discover that this was all a ruse; they’d snaffled my details from the testing kit application! Then, to my shock, I received another call on my mobile, and it miraculously displayed my bank's number, so I naively answered it. Again, it was the same character claiming someone was attempting to withdraw £500 from my account! I swiftly hung up and got back in touch with my bank, who assured me it was all nonsense; they hadn’t phoned me, and there was no attempt on my money at all. It turns out they spoofed the bank's number to make it seem genuine. Please exercise caution; these crooks are after the security codes you receive for any purchases made on your card. This is a huge scam!

Got a message out of the blue saying I had to get a PCR test done. Bit confusing since I wasn’t told anything before.

I reckon this is quite dodgy as I haven't stepped outside my front door in a fortnight!

Just like loads of others have said, this site totally looks like the NHS one, which makes it really believable. I reckon the NHS should really update their site and make it clearer about whether they still notify you if you’ve been near someone who tested positive. It’s quite confusing otherwise.

Just got a message from +44 7563 838817 saying it’s the NHS Health Dept. They claim I’ve been near someone with Omicron and tell me to order a PCR test from swab-test-trace.com. Seems a bit suspect to me, so I’m ignoring it.

Got a text off this number telling me I’d been near someone with Omicron. Nah, not true - I just did a test yesterday and it came back negative. Honestly, they should find something better to do with their time. ####

Got a message supposedly from the NHS saying I've been near someone with the Omicron variant, but that doesn’t add up because I haven’t been around anyone new recently. The text urges me to arrange a PCR test through something like swab-test-trace.com. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a message at 1.42am from 07563838817 saying I needed a PCR test because I’d been near someone with Omicron. Thing is, they don’t do PCR track and trace anymore, and they definitely wouldn’t ask for 99p postage. Totally a scam just trying to get your bank info.

Got a call saying I might’ve been near someone with coronavirus, but I haven’t actually been around anyone who's tested positive. Pretty annoying that they’re sending these out when it’s not relevant.

Got a call from +44 7563 838817 saying I’d been exposed to Omnicron. They sent a link to some dodgy NHS page asking for 99p to send a test kit in the post. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a dodgy text about coronavirus today with some sketchy link, looked proper like a phishing attempt. Definitely ignored it, seems like one of those scams trying to get your personal info. Watch out, folks!

Got a message from the NHS saying I’d been near someone with omicron and to get a test. The link sent me to the NHS site but then they wanted me to pay 99p for postage to have the test sent. Bit annoying, thought they would just send it for free.

+44 7563 838817 just sent me a text saying I had been near someone with Omicron. The message included a link that looked like it was from the NHS, but it definitely wasn’t the real site or proper URL. Pretty obvious this is a scam. I went and got tested for Covid anyway, and thankfully I’m all clear.
