Today, on 14/05/2025, at around 1.21pm, I got a text from someone called Winnie claiming to be a consultant from Acorn Recruitment. The message said they had a job opening and asked if I was still job hunting. Funny enough, I got the exact same message just a few hours before, about 10.17am, but it came from a different number, 07562789967. This has all the hallmarks of a dodgy job agency scam. I've been retired for ages, well beyond any working age, and definitely not in the market for a new job.

Somebody called saying they were Winnie from Acorn Recruitment, asking if I was still on the job hunt because there was a position open. Told them I’m already employed and not searching for work.

Someone called saying they were Millie from Time recruitment, asking if I was still seeking a job. Thing is, I’m actually retiring tomorrow and haven’t been job hunting at all because I’ve been off sick for quite some time now. Bit strange really.
