Watch out for an eBay rip-off going around. The scammer creates loads of new eBay profiles to contact sellers, pretending to pay through a fake PayPal account. They then ask for pictures to be sent over WhatsApp or email. Afterwards, they send a bogus payment receipt by email and push for the item to be posted quickly with Royal Mail. Do NOT fall for it. The scammer’s used names like Ellie Onasanya, Lookman Onasanya, Sawa, Nuja and Stehug. Stay safe!

Just had a weird call from someone saying they were with eBay, wanted me to send pictures of the item over WhatsApp as "proof". Felt off to me, probably a scam! Be careful folks.

This was definitely a scam call.

I had a sketchy experience on eBay recently. The seller kept insisting I send photos through WhatsApp, even though everything was already displayed clearly on the listing page. Felt a bit dodgy to me.
