Got a call from someone named John Phillips who said he was with the community police, trying to sell advertising space in some police magazine and on their website. I looked him up after the call and it turns out it's a known con that’s been going on for ages. Just the day before, I’d put my new business on Yell[###], and now this is the second dodgy call I've had like this - the first one was from a charity saying pretty much the same thing.
