Today, 18 May 2025, I received a message from 07562 789967 asking, “Are you interested in a job you could do in your free time? Sorry to disturb you.” No details about the job or even a name to go with it, which made me suspicious. Sounds like yet another scam trying to prey on pensioners like me, trying to take my pension and pension credit. Honestly, whoever’s behind this ought to be working for the government as a financial advisor - they’re scamming us older folks right under the law!

Today, on 14/05/2025 at around 10:17 am, I got a text from someone called Winnie claiming to be a consultant at Acorn Recruitment. The message said they had a job opening and asked if I was still job hunting. A few hours later at 1:21 pm, I received the exact same message, word for word, but from a different number - 07563784649. This feels like a typical recruitment scam. I’ve been retired for quite some time and there’s no chance I’m looking for work anymore.
