Got a text that looked like it was from John Lewis bank saying I’d paid Argos. I replied ‘N’ since I hadn’t done anything. Then they rang up asking for a person who wasn’t me. Only then did I twig it was a scam.

Got a text from this number today claiming to be Argos. Warning, it's a scam! Don't reply to the message at all, just get in touch with your bank straight away and tell them what happened.

Got a text from this number saying my M&S credit card was charged £599 at Argos. It said it was from M&S, but the number didn’t match theirs at all. Quite fishy if you ask me!
