Got a text claiming TV licensing couldn’t process my payment and to click a link to fix it. Since I recently got a new bank card, I clicked the link straight away. Luckily, I quickly remembered my payment wasn’t actually due yet, so I rang my bank to stop all payments and cancel my cards. After that, I moved all my money out just to be safe. Total con job. Watch out for this sort of thing!

Got a message saying the TV licensing folks couldn’t process my payment and that I should click a link to update my info. Since I’d recently got a new bank card, I went ahead and clicked it. Luckily, right after, it hit me that I wasn’t even due to pay yet, so I quickly called my bank to freeze all card activity and cancelled the cards. I also moved all my money out just to be safe. Total scam alert - watch out everyone!

Got a text today saying my TV licence payment hadn’t gone through, but it was a complete scam. They sent me a link to what looked like a tv-licensing website trying to steal my bank info. Just so you know, the genuine UK TV licence site always uses "tvlicencing" in their URL. Don’t fall for it!
