Here we go again, another scam popping up! I’m pretty sure Royal Mail doesn’t have my phone number on file; if they actually did, they’d use my name from the parcel instead of speaking so vaguely. Plus, they’d definitely provide some kind of tracking or reference number, which they didn’t. It’s clearly just a dodgy trick to make you click on a dodgy link. I wonder how these scammers get hold of current phone numbers? And seriously, why haven’t the fraud teams shut these scammers down yet?

This is a total post office con - make sure you report the number to the ICO and also use the City of London’s online fraud reporting service. If you don’t report it, they won’t be able to trace or crack down on them. This number, along with the people behind it, is probably tied to loads of other scams, so definitely file a report. After that, block the number on your phone and your family’s phones too.
