Got a call from an Asian guy, wanted to talk to me. When I told him to take my number off his list, he just refused. Asked why, then he started calling me a f##king w##re and a f##king s##t then ended the call. Definitely don’t pick up. I’ve reported it to the police.

Got a call saying I owed cash to Wonga[###] and would be getting a court order! Proper bellend on the phone, quite aggressive and rude. I just hung up, but he had the cheek to ring back again. I checked with Wonga[###] myself (took small loan ages ago, like 3 years back) and they said I owe nothing. Total scam!! X

Got a call first thing in the morning, and the person was really bossy, demanding I prove my identity. They clearly rang the wrong person, and when I kept asking where they found my number, they told me to shut up and just hung up. I reckon it’s one of those scam numbers that charge you by the minute, so watch out. Already reported it to the police and I’d advise everyone else to do the same.

Earlier, I got a call from a lady at a call centre using this number. I kindly asked her to take me off their calling list, and she just hung up. Then, about an hour later, I got another call from the same number, but this time it was an angry Indian bloke shouting abuse at me, calling me things like a “sl*t” and telling me to shut up, all because I wanted to be taken off their list. Properly disgusted by this behaviour.

somebody said they were from the financial advice bureau, telling me there’s new government rules that might let me clear all my debts. they asked if I owned or rented my house so I asked for their financial conduct authority ref number, but they replied in a rude tone that they didn’t have to give me that info. when I said I’d look them up on the fca website, they just hung up on me.

I answered the call and it turned out to be an Indian chap. As soon as I asked him who was on the line, he abruptly told us to pipe down. He claimed there were no outstanding debts, but his language became quite offensive, so we decided it was best to hang up.
