This evening, we received a call from a number we didn’t recognise. It barely rang before we decided to return the call. When someone answered, he acted as if he were engaged on another line. We could hear background sounds reminiscent of construction work, and the person on the other end apologised, claiming they couldn’t hear us. Following that, there were more strange noises, only for her voice to return again. Feeling uneasy about the entire situation, we hung up. I have a strong suspicion this could be a scam.

Earlier on today, we received a call from a number that didn’t ring any bells for us. Intrigued, we decided to return the call since the original call was interrupted with what seemed like a never-ending ringing tone. When we got through, a bloke was on the line, but he seemed to be feigning another call. There were all sorts of background sounds - sounded like construction work or something - and the woman on the other end claimed she could hardly hear us. Between the strange noises and her voice cutting in and out, it felt off, so we promptly hung up. We’ve got a sneaky feeling this was some sort of scam.
