Quite dangerous, really!11 monthsGot an email claiming to be from PayPal with a UK support phone number. Tried calling it but got no response, so I hung up. About 10 seconds later, this number rang me back. An Asian/Indian man on the line pretending to be a tech support agent said he was returning my call, but he didn’t know my name or email. When I told him it was obviously a phishing scam, he started getting rude and abusive. They tried to get me to pay £100 for a firewall and fix, asking for my bank or credit card details. No chance I was giving them any money. It’s a pity he cut the call short - I was hoping to string them along a bit and maybe stop others from falling for it.
