Got a call from a man with a thick Indian accent claiming he was from the National Debt Helpline. When I asked what the reason for his call was, he went on about how ‘the government is covering everyone’s debts’! I just laughed it off, said ‘Sure, I don’t buy that’, and ended the call. What really set me off was that he knew my name. I’m definitely reporting this to the local police’s anti-fraud unit.
