Some bloke rang me pretending to be from HMRC, saying they’d take action against me. 😂😂 Yeah right, I’m not that daft! For one thing, HMRC doesn’t ring from a mobile number like that. Also, if you text the number to 7726 or reply with "spam" on your messages, and then send "call" when asked, it lets you report the number as spam. It’s handy coz next time they try ringing you, it’ll show as spam on their phone too. Proper way to catch ’em out!

I could tell straight away it was a scam because the mic sounded rubbish and I could hear loads of chatter like a call centre in the background.

Got a call from an automated voice claiming to be from some government agency saying I'd face legal trouble. It asked me to press 1 to talk to someone. I just hung up straight away - seemed fishy, not how official stuff usually goes down. Didn't buy it at all.

Got a message that was really out of line and super inappropriate, just not right at all.

I had a feeling it might be dodgy, so I just left it. Afterwards, I decided to check who was calling from that number.
