I picked up and the guy on the phone said my policy was expired. I asked him what policy he meant but he didn’t reply. I repeated my question and then suddenly it went silent. Pretty strange call.

Accident scam, definitely. All scam calls, texts, emails and any other kinds of scams should be reported to the police via their Action Fraud reporting page - especially the phishing section. Just stick to the instructions online. They won’t ask for your ID, though the police will have your email to confirm they got your report when you send all the info to the NFIB. It’s way quicker than posting here. The cops need to know how bad this problem is but can’t do much unless every scam try gets reported. Don’t forget to post back here too, to help warn others.

Got a call on my phone at 1:36 pm on 6/11/19, it rang three times then went straight to voicemail. But I had my voicemail switched off with my provider (THREE[###][###]) so no messages can be left. I’ve added this number to my block list now.
