I got this text saying my PayPal account was locked, with a link to click on. Seemed fishy, so I opened the PayPal app to see if anything was wrong. Turns out, everything was fine with my account, so I reckon it was a scam.

Was a total scam, the caller acted like they were from PayPal but it was all fake.

This looks like a total scam to me. Just got a text that said something like "PayPal: Suspicious activity detected, your account and services are blocked. Visit [#]PayPaI.unblock-auth[###] to remove the block." I logged into my PayPal just to be sure and there’s nothing wrong with my account at all. Definitely a dodgy message!
