I got a call claiming to be from HSBC, warning me about someone trying to add a new payee to my account. They gave a website link to verify or cancel the request: [#]cancel-payee-verification[###]/. When I rang my bank, all I got was an automated voice, and asking if it was really them just confused it. I'm pretty sure it’s a scam. Since there’s no bank nearby and with Covid still around, I can’t just pop in to check. I’ll be blocking the number on my phone. Just a heads up for anyone else who gets this - it looks legit but don’t go near that link!
