Received a call from this number and it was one of those recorded messages claiming to be from HMRC, telling me to press 1 to talk to an agent. I pressed it out of curiosity, and a person came on the line asking what they could do for me. I told them it was their call that I’d received first. The person sounded a bit lost for words, so I just hung up. I’m pretty certain it’s not really HMRC - I deal with them regularly at work and they definitely wouldn’t call so quickly or make it this simple. Usually, they send letters instead of ringing up.
