There was a brief silence before he started talking. The bloke said he was Simon, calling from Viva Protect, and somehow he already had my address and name - no idea how I keep getting bombarded with these annoying calls. I kept him chatting for about 5 mins, hoping I wasted his time and money. I threw him some questions - his surname (Gray), age (27), where he was ringing from (Manchester), his nationality (wouldn't say, but I reckon South Asian), if he was married (he said yes, with two kids) and if he was into the Stone Roses, New Order and Joy Division.
