Got a call claiming to be from HMRC about some paperwork they said they sent me that needed a reply. Later, I checked HMRC’s site and found a warning about this exact scam. Apparently, these robocalls say HMRC is taking legal action and tell you to press 1 to talk to someone to sort out payment. Just to be clear, this is a total scam, and you should hang up as soon as it happens.
