I got a call from a lady who spoke with a clear American accent, telling me I was in trouble for sending back some letter supposedly from HMRC. She said I had to talk to their operator or face legal trouble. Thing is, I've never sent anything back to HMRC, and why on earth would they ring from a random, untraceable mobile? I just ended the call straight away. No idea where they found my number, but it felt like a nasty attempt to scare me. Watch out for this kind of thing!
