Got this exact same thing happen to me - they hit me up on Gumtree then wanted to sort out a delivery through Fedex. Pretty obvious it was a scam!

I got a message on WhatsApp from someone claiming to be from Gumtree saying they'd arrange delivery, but I couldn't check their account on the actual Gumtree site. They were asking for my bank details too, which seemed pretty dodgy. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I reckon this might be a scam linked to Gumtree. They claim they’ll ship a bulky package via Fedex but then ask for your debit card info to finish the payment. Sounds dodgy to me.
