Just like everyone else, got a text claiming to be my mum asking me to message a different number.

Got a “Hi Mum” message out of the blue in the early hours, around 3.40am on the 9th April 2023 here in Central Scotland. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from Mongolia, but it was obviously just a scam. Really dodgy.

Got a message that began with "hey mum, I broke my phone and I’m using my mate’s phone to text you." Then, I was sent to a different number to reach out on WhatsApp saying it's “urgent.” Bit fishy if you ask me.
