Received a text at 07:15 claiming that a parcel delivery failed because no one was home. The thing is, I wasn’t actually awaiting any parcels. Regarding the earlier message, I reckon it’s either Royal Mail or BT behind this. Honestly, I’m pretty sure one of those two is involved. To top it off, now my info’s probably in the hands of hackers. What a mess!

I ordered something from BT and they told me it would be sent out by 13th April within 48 hours. On that very day, I got a message from a number saying they couldn't deliver as I wasn’t in, even though I was home all day. Seems like a dodgy scam but coming from a compromised BT system. Got a message saying a delivery didn’t go through from this number, with a link to click. Since both me and my partner always work from home and someone’s always around, plus knowing the Royal Mail wouldn’t do it like this, I figured it was dodgy. Got a dodgy text saying something like “PO: Your parcel is waiting at your local Post Office because delivery failed. Check here: https://postofficeuk-parcelstatus.com”. Be super careful! It’s way too easy to fall for it and end up giving away personal details - and seriously, why on earth would they want your birthdate just to hand over a parcel??! Totally a scam. Like someone else mentioned before, only Royal Mail actually does deliveries, the Post Office doesn’t do drop-offs like that!

Got a dodgy text claiming to be the Post Office saying a parcel needs redelivering. It had a sketchy 'click here' link - classic redelivery scam. Real Post Office messages don't come from a random mobile number, they'd say 'Post Office' proper. Also, Post Office doesn't handle deliveries - that's Royal Mail's job. Royal Mail and the Post Office are totally separate businesses. When Royal Mail misses you, they leave a card, you know. Plus, any legit link would end with @royalmail.com or @postoffice.co.uk, not some weird URL. Stay alert!
