Got a call earlier from someone using my first name, but they had no clue about my surname. Claimed to be from the High Court Enforcement Agency, sounded like they had a northern accent. Definitely a scam! If you get calls like that, my advice is to either have a chuckle and hang up, or waste their time for a bit - they’re the ones paying for the call, not you. Don’t bother calling them back, it’ll just cost you. And if you can, block the number straight away. Loads of these dodgy scams going around at the moment.

A dodgy call came through claiming to be from some company that doesn’t even exist, trying to push me into making a payment. Took me a while to dig around and figure out it was all a scam, which left me proper annoyed. Still, I'm glad I had the spare time today to spot their trickery before falling for it.

He said he was calling about a debt collection for a bill I hadn’t settled, but when I asked him for more details, he just ended the call.

This number rang me earlier pretending to be some kind of debt collector. As soon as I told them they were fakes, I ended the call straight away.

Got a random call from a bloke saying he was Mr Brown from Marstons Group. He was asking for my wife by her first name and mentioned something about an unpaid invoice debt. Wouldn't give me any info even after I told him I handle our bills. Just felt fishy to me. I mean, what legit company calls you from a mobile number?!

Got a call from 07549824304 and it was like every other review on here - really pushy about owing money for some old marketing bill. Asked them to send me a copy of the invoice to check it out, they said they would but I still haven’t got anything through. Bit frustrating!

Got a call from some bloke chasing payment for a bill I don’t even owe. He kept going on about taking me to small claims court. Total scam, I’ve never been involved with that company or anything like it.

After looking into it further, I discovered the caller said his name was Mr Brown from Marstons Group. I contacted Marstons directly and they told me they don’t have anyone called Mr Brown using that number. I’ve reported the number to them, the police and trading standards. When I rang back the bloke and confronted him about what I found, he just hung up on me - not shocking at all!

Got a call from this number telling me they were taking me to county court for not paying for an advert in some crime prevention mag. I asked them to send me proper proof like the invoice, but they couldn’t get my company name right! Honestly, don’t bother picking up if they ring you, it’s definitely a scam.

got a call from this number claiming to be police and saying i owed money for an advert supposedly placed by me. i told them straight away that i never put any ad out and mentioned i use a phone system that logs all my calls, so it seemed really fishy. when i said i’d contact the cops, they just hung up on me. i tried calling back using call return but no one picks up. feels like a total scam to me.
