I’ve just had a right dodgy call from some imbecile claiming I’d been granted a grand as my initial compensation from BT. Then, without so much as a pause, they switched gears and said it was actually a PPI payout, only to later twist it into some income tax reimbursement. They insisted the funds would be paid straight into my bank account. What a load of nonsense!

Got a call from a woman with an African accent saying I’d won £18,000 in PPI compensation. Then she asked for my bank details! Definitely a scam, so I blocked the number straight away.

First, they told me I’d get £1,000 as compensation from BT, then suddenly it turned into a PPI payout, and later they said it was an income tax refund. They promised the money would be sent straight to my bank, but it’s all just a con.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming I’d won £1,000 compensation from BT. I mentioned my BT problem wasn’t sorted yet, but he insisted my PPI claim was accepted for £1,000. Confused, I asked what PPI? He then said I’d paid too much income tax, about £1,000. When I told him I’d just got a letter saying I owed more tax, he just cut me off. Definitely a scam.

Got calls three times from 207549 620250 today, sounds like some kind of blood life insurance scam to me. Just went ahead and blocked the number after all that ringing!
