Got a text from 07943 171260 saying DEBENHAMS sent me a one-off code 178902 for £853.17 to AMAZON. If you didn’t do this, call 08081964358 or 01226694035 from abroad straight away. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a text from +447548485143. When I phoned back, they already knew some personal details but then I realised it was a con. They claimed to be from “Visa support” and asked for the 10 digits on my card. Total scammer trying to steal my card details. Don’t share anything with them! Best thing to do is call your bank straight away and get a new card sorted. The message said something like: MARBLES: One-Time Passcode is 178902 for 853.17GBP to AMAZON. If you didn’t make this, ring 08081964358 or 01226694035 (for calls abroad) immediately.

Got a message saying I'd missed a parcel delivery from Hermes and that I should click a link to sort it out.

I got a text from this number claiming to be from HSBC with a passcode for a payment linked to AIRBNB. It told me to ring 08081964358 if the message wasn’t meant for me. When I dialled, a recorded message came on saying to call another number if I was having money problems, otherwise stay on the line to speak to someone. It definitely feels like some kind of scam or dodgy fraud.
